Celeriac Mash


I have only recently tried celeriac mash and I was really amazed by its delicate, velvety smooth flavour. I have always been a fan of mash potatoes, but this one accompanied by the right dish is amazing. It is also really simple to make.


  • 1 kg celeriac
  • 50 grams butter
  • 100 ml double cream
  • Salt
  • White pepper
  • Nutmeg


  1. You start by peeling and cutting the celeriac in even cubes about 2 x 2 cm. The size is not really crucial, just cut them as even as possible.
  2. Put them in a pot with boiling water (should be enough to cover them) and boil them until they are soft. 
  3. Once they are ready strain them and pop them into “soup” blender or just use a masher 
  4. Add the salt and the butter.
  5. Mash
  6. Once you do a bit of mashing add the cream, the pepper and the nutmeg (not too much, around a quarter of a teaspoon).
  7. Then it is ready to serve. It will accompany perfectly any fish or meat dish.

On the day of the event, i will arrive at your home and will do all the appropriate preparations for the meal. Depending on the menu i might need to be there a few hours earlier.

During the meal i will serve the dishes or prepare the buffet. Once the meal is complete, i will clear the dishes, clean the kitchen and then leave. Discreetly.
